ALEX and ANI Donates Private Screening to Year Up Students to See Wonder Woman

ALEX and ANI is donating a private screening today of “Wonder Woman” to the students and faculty of CHARITY BY DESIGN partner, Year Up

Students participating in the screening wrote essays speaking about the Wonder Women in their own lives and giving personal accounts of what a Wonder Woman means to them.

Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides low-income young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college-level coursework, and corporate internships. ALEX AND ANI has previously partnered with Year Up through their internship program as well as the creation of a CHARITY BY DESIGN bangle. ALEX AND ANI donates 20% of the purchase price from each The Knight Charm Bangle sold to the organization.

June Forbes Cover
It has been a busy time

This month, Forbes is running an eight-page feature titled, “How Alex And Ani Founder Carolyn Rafaelian Built An American Jewelry Empire.”

The Rafaelian feature is part of its cover story, "The Richest Self-Made Women" - and Rafaelian is featured on the cover.

Forbes lists the top 60 self-made women, and Rafaelian comes in at #18 at $1 billion. Leading the list is Marjian Ilitch, age 84 of Little Caesars at $5.1 billion.

In May, model, entrepreneur and activist Gisele Bündchen, co-anchor of Good Morning America Robin Roberts; and founder and CEO of ALEX and ANI Carolyn Rafaelian were among the women recognized Tuesday in New York City by the David Lynch Foundation, a global charitable organization that addresses the epidemic of trauma and toxic stress amongst at-risk populations.
