Beauty Trends for 2011

Flawless skin is always on-trend because a perfect canvas is ideal to create memorable and gorgeous looks, according to skin specialist Sienna Iannelli. The best way to get and maintain beautiful skin is to get regular facials; try a facial with an enzyme peel at Sienna Skin Studio to slough off dead skin and replenish your epidermis with vitamins. You can also pick up Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant ($49, Facing Thayer) to thermally polish skin and revive it. New Year, new skin!

According to makeup maven Kirsten Brusse, “Honeysuckle is the color for spring 2011.” We love a flushed look so a peachy honeysuckle is simply “parfait.” Choose Tarte Natural Cheek Stain in Tipsy ($30, Ulta) or Benefit’s Bella Bamba ($28, Sephora) and apply to the apples of the cheeks for a natural flush that looks on-trend and oh so pretty.

Juicy lips are what’s on tap this spring. Bright colors like tangerine, ruby red and pretty pink will make you kisser look chic. Use a lip scrub (just mix olive oil and salt or sugar) first to exfoliate the lips. Then follow with a base (use a bit of concealer) and apply your color. We love Cosmetic Cosmos Pink Harmony ($18) and Boots New Botanic Lipstick ($6, Target).

Eyes are as bright as spring flowers for 2011 so go with vivacious violets (pick up Christian Dior’s Ultraviolet, $28, Macy’s), peony pinks (try CoverGirl Eye Enhancers in Knockout, $3.50, drugstores), tantalizing tangerines (don Stila’s Mimos, $18, The Apothecary Newport), and bursting blues (go with MAC Cosmetics Electric Eel, $14.50, Nordstrom).
