Prom Fashion Show To Raise Funds for Station Fire Memorial

Laura Sarlitto, East Greenwich resident and founder of Laura Ink Photography, has put together the showcase of dresses from three Rhode Island boutiques. Funds will benefit the Station Fire Memorial Foundation, which is commemorating its 10th anniversary this February. The Expo will be held at 7pm at Cole Junior High School in East Greenwich.

Boutiques featured at the Expo are Zuzu’s Petals, Sonya’s, and Bridal Garden. In addition, several local businesses have graciously donated gift certificates to a raffle. All funds generated will go to the Memorial Fund, said Sarlitto. Louis Hollingsworth, owner of Zuzu’s Petals in East Greenwich, has called this show a “new spin to any other fashion show [she has] participated in in Rhode Island.”

The cause is what first inspired Sarlitto, a freelance photographer, to launch her event. "The cause is incredibly important to me, for no reason other than it touches my heart and wanted to help in any way I can," she said. "I wanted to use what I love to do to help the cause - hence, a fashion show, hosted by my freelance photography business."
