The LOOK: Heat up Your Winter with Fiery Reds

Follow Frank Barbosa's three simple tips to achieve this season's best reds.
Why not try a little auburn in your hair for that extra warmth this winter? Here are some tips on how to achieve this season's best reds and the sure fire ways to keep them all aglow.

Top reds of the season are deep gingers and golden reds so think early Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman in that little red bob she has been sporting lately in fashion ads.

1) Take your trusty tear sheets with you or your pinterest images so there is no mix up with your stylist when choosing that perfect shade of red

2) If you are timid about going to red and you are not ready for the commitment try lowlighting light hair or highlighting darker tones with the red of your choice. It’s a smooth introduction to reds

3) Always use color friendly shampoos and conditioners and try to skip shampoos as to not fade your red out too quick, because reds are known to be the hardest color to keep. My advice is to get on the right maintenance schedule and discuss this with your colorist.

Happy coloring and may your winter days and nights be warm.
