When Jamestown's Katie Brierley opened Isoude, her Bellevue Avenue boutique in Newport, the young designer brought an enviable reputation, earned with her impeccably tailored ready-to-wear and couture collections. Brierley singlehandedly brought a new echelon of design and dressmaking back to the Ocean State, and by all indications, she has a bright future ahead. A graduate of RISD and New York's Fashion Institute of Technology, the young impresario has already had pieces included in an exhibit at the prestigious Museum at FIT and seen on chic socialites coast to coast.
