Amica CEO DiMuccio Receives Honorary Doctorate from Bryant
Robert A. DiMuccioRobert A. DiMuccio, received an honorary doctorate in business administration from Bryant University during the graduate programs commencement.
Robert A. DiMuccio
DiMuccio is the chairman, president and chief executive officer of Amica Insurance.
“For as much as we want to believe that we do it all on our own, there are always others holding us up all along the way,” DiMuccio said.
“Some days, it may seem that pessimism is all around us, that the world is in disarray, budget deficits will never be cured and the economy will never be fixed,” DiMuccio said. “But before we let the doom and gloom take over, I’d like to level set the situation: Advances in energy, food production, communication and other areas too numerous to mention are moving forward at breakneck speed. What does all of this mean? It means your business skills are needed now more than ever.”
Bryant University
Bryant, a private university in Smithfield, R.I., offers undergraduate and graduate programs. Its president, Ronald Machtley, is a member of Amica’s Board of Directors.
