BankRI CFO Simmons Recognized

Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) CFO and Treasurer Linda H. Simmons has been selected as this year’s top CFO at a public company headquartered in Rhode Island. Simmons joined the company as Executive Vice President and Treasurer in 2004, and has been its CFO since 2005.

“Linda has not only provided strong financial guidance since 2005, she has also been an integral part of the executive team,” said Merril Sherman, President and CEO of BankRI.

BankRI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bancorp Rhode Island, Inc. headquartered in Providence. The bank operates 17 branches and over 60 ATMs throughout Providence, Kent, and Washington Counties. As of December 31, 2010, it boasts $1.6 billion in assets and $1.1 billion in deposits.
