Bryant Announces Women’s Summit Line-up

Four guest speakers will descend on the Ocean State for Bryant University’s 14th annual Women’s Summit, titled “The Power of Excellence,” offering strategies for professional and personal success. Through the conference, 20 workshop sessions will explore topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, finance, negotiation, communication, managing diversity, social media, and mentoring.
The keynote speakers are:


• trailblazing Latina businesswoman Linda Alvarado, president and CEO of Alvarado Construction, Inc., one of the fastest-growing general contractors in the country;
• former Good Morning America host Joan Lunden, now a successful entrepreneur and author;
• Alison Levine, climber, explorer, entrepreneur, and organizational leadership consultant. Levine led the first American women’s Everest expedition;
• Women’s health specialist Alice D. Domar, executive director of the Domar Center for Mind/Body Health.

The Women’s Summit will be held on the University’s campus on Thursday, March 10, 2011, from 8:30am to 5:15pm. Online registration begins Jan. 20. The fee is $160 ($185 after Feb. 22) – includes the presentations by the four keynote speakers, attendance at two workshop sessions, conference materials, a continental breakfast, refreshments during breaks, a luncheon, book signings and a networking reception.
