He focused on HIPAA compliance, mitigating risk and meeting regulatory requirements for Rhode Island’s comprehensive healthcare system.
Prior to his role at Lifespan, Phillips was hired as Special Counsel for a ten-month engagement by Boston Financial Data Services in Boston.
He is a 2016 graduate of the University Of Miami School Of Law and a 2013 honors graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
While in Florida, he served as law clerk for a firm specializing in criminal law and completed an externship in the corporate law department for Omniangle Technologies. Phillips was active as a volunteer with Education Tomorrow, a Florida-based non-profit committed to helping foster children go to college and supporting them into early adulthood.
Phillips was a Sergeant in the United States Army, serving as a paratrooper for four and half years. He also was deployed to Afghanistan in Operation Enduring Freedom 2010.
