NEW: Forum on Flexible Work Environment for Employers

Creative solutions during a recession
At the forum local employers will hear about the advantages and benefits of allowing for more freedom in working hours, such as lower turnover, higher productivity, and increased employee engagement. This is especially important during the economic recession, when employees may be under more financial and personal stress.
“There is growing consensus that workplace flexibility, in its many forms, can improve lives, support business objectives and strengthen the economy,” said Laurie White, president of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce. “This program is a great way for our members, and the larger business community, to understand how to utilize some important flexibility tools that will enable them to modernize workplaces to meet workforce and family demands.”
