New GM Takes Over At Channel 10

Vetters comes from running a cluster of stations owned by Smith Media in both Burlington, Vermont and Utica, New York.
Media General owns WJAR and is primarily a newspaper group whose stock has been pounded recently. The stock (MEG) which had a 52-week high in excess of $10 per share is now trading at less than $2 a share ($1.93 on 9-13).

According to his bio, "he earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Hamilton College and received a master’s in broadcast journalism from Syracuse. In addition, he was awarded a law degree with honors from Albany Law School. Vic has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1995."
