NEW: Hanley's Ale House Closing in Downtown Providence UPDATED

"To all our loyal friends and customers, and Providence nightlife fans: as of today we have closed our doors permanently. We appreciate all the support over the years, thank you all," wrote Hanley's in a Facebook post.
The location at 52 Pine Street had previously had been McFadden's, before Hanley's took over the space five years ago.

The closure marks the latest in a number of restaurant departures in Providence and Rhode Island in recent months.

A representative from Hanley's on Wednesday confirmed the cigar bar portion of Hanley's will remain open.
