Michaela Johnson Leaving "The Rhode Show" on WPRI

WPRI’s Michaela Johnson announced on Thursday that she is leaving her role as the co-host on The Rhode Show - a paid content program.

It marks the latest departure at the station, as Danielle North also announced this week she is leaving. Read more here

Johnston Tweeted the following:

“MY TWO WEEK'S NOTICE: After 12 years, I will be leaving The Rhode Show. I've met some of the best, visited some remarkable places & had incredible, unexpected, and unbelievable moments...All of which I will treasure. please enjoy these next few weeks of watching this trio,” she posted to social media.

According to her bio,

Michaela Johnson is an East Providence native who started with The Rhode Show in 2010 after winning the Search for a Star contest.

She attended Bridgewater State University where she played on the women’s basketball team and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication.

She enjoys cooking, exercise and meeting new people, all while covering the latest in arts, entertainment, and events that are going on in Rhode Island.
