“I congratulate Martha on her new leadership position with the global trade association,” Governor Lincoln D. Chafee said. “Martha brings a valuable perspective and will be working with industry leaders to elevate Rhode Island’s tourism industry and to promote the state’s reputation as a great destination with its many assets including the beautiful shoreline, historic sites and award-winning cuisine.”
Sheridan, who lives in Wakefield, R.I., has been actively involved in the DMAI for several years and was named board chair at the organization’s 99th Annual Convention in Orlando in July.
