Siena on Federal Hill Closes Permanently

Italian restaurant Siena on Federal Hill is closing permanently. 

The Atwells Avenue fixture, which was shuttered for much of the coronavirus pandemic, made the announcement of Friday. 

Owner Anthony Tarro shared his message with customers and friends (see below).

“Providence is where it all began for Siena, and I hope one day there is an opportunity to return,” he wrote. 

Tarro noted that Siena’s locations in both Smithfield and East Greenwich will remain open — and gift certificates will be honored at those locations. 

Latest for Siena

As GoLocal wrote in April 2021, Tarro had been offering $250 gift certificates to anyone who provided an employee referral that led to a hire. 

Former partner Chris Tarro had announced his departure from the restaurant in June 2021.
