Warwick, Central Falls Bars Hit With $1,700 in Coronavirus Citations

The State of Rhode Island hit seven businesses with coronavirus compliance orders on Tuesday — including two bars with citations and fees totaling $1700.

In Warwick, Bottom Line Bar and Grill was fined $850 after state inspectors visited the premises on Saturday February 6, and reported that patrons at the bar were not separated by an “appropriate barrier or by six feet” — and that the establishment had "failed the make the bar area inaccessible."

On Saturday, inspectors also visited La Colombiana Bar & Grill in Central Falls, and fined the establishment $850, for also among its violations the failure to make the bar inaccessible to patrons. 

The state reported that “every table was occupied and [the] overflow extended into the bar area,” a violation of the state’s executive order that limits indoor dining capacity to 50%.
