Newport Beach Club Debuts New Eco-Luxe Tennis Cottage

Rhode Island's sporting estate community, The Newport Beach Club, has debuted its latest offering, and it combines eco-friendly with luxurious design.

The Tennis Cottage, Newport Beach Club's latest, offers what it calls "lavish, eco-sensitive beach living," and a model of the new home was was recently completed and decorated by renowned interior designer Jillian Pritchard-Cooke utilizing her “Wellness Within Your Walls” (WWYW), philosophy, emphasizing sustainable, responsible construction and design practices that promote a healthy, toxin-free home environment.

While the Tennis Cottage offers numerous amenities and high-end design features, such as pure marble counters, granite baths, and gorgeous hardwood floors, this is no ordinary beach retreat.

Luxury + wellness

Some examples of design elements that showcase WWYW include:

No chemicals or volatile organic compounds found anywhere within the home; all paints and varnishes were applied off-site and properly finished to eliminate residual chemicals.

All lighting fixtures on the property are repurposed or reclaimed, such as oyster shells and uncut crystals, and all bulbs are low-energy.

Many furniture items are custom-made from sustainable materials, such as a headboard made from international soccer jerseys and accent seating made from raffia and banana leaves.
