People on the Move: Cuervo Adds Another, Nail Continues Expansion of Team
NAIL Bolsters Account Team with Julia Hameed

Hameed will be supporting the account team across a variety of clients.
“As our client roster continues to diversify and expand, we’re committed to having our talent reflect that same growth,” said Palmer. “Julia will be a vital asset to the team, bringing fresh perspective and energy to the agency’s client services approach.”
Hameed joins NAIL from Riddle & Bloom, A Wasserman Company, where she was an Account Manager. During her time there, she managed the Amazon Prime Student program, overseeing influencer activations across 120 universities nationwide. Additionally, Hameed gained experience in social media management and public relations during her time at Temple University in Philadelphia. It was here that she received her bachelor’s degree in musical theatre with a minor in communication studies.
“As someone who has always loved the creative field and sought out human connection in my work, NAIL Communications seems like an incredible culture fit,” said Hameed. “I’m so excited to grow with this team.”
This is the third major addition to Nail in the past two months.
Cuervo for Mayor Announces Hiring of Jordan Goyette as Field Director
Gonzalo Cuervo announced today that Jordan Goyette will serve as Field Director for Cuervo’s campaign for mayor of Providence. As of Monday, May 9, Jordan has assumed his position as Field Director on the campaign, and will be organizing and leading canvasses and phone banks (among other duties).
“I’m proud to have Jordan on board,” says Cuervo. “He brings an extraordinary energy and expertise in building a grassroots-powered campaign to our organization. Together with our past hires, I believe we’ve assembled a team that will win this campaign for the people of Providence.”
Goyette has previously worked on statewide Democratic campaigns in Rhode Island, served as campaign manager for Jennifer Rourke, and supported RI Political Cooperative candidates and other progressives in the 2020. He also serves as Political and Legislative Director for Reclaim RI. He has five years of experience in political campaign work.
Goyette said, “I’m really excited to get to work with the campaign team and Gonzalo. Gonzalo has a sincere vision of an economically thriving, diverse Providence built on the strengths of all of its people, current residents and newcomers alike. It’s important that Providence has a mayor who sees all of the people, all of their struggles, and has experience both in and outside of politics to help those who are struggling.”
RI Department of Heath Is Seeking to Fill a Top Position
The Rhode Island Department of Health is seeking a medical director for its Division of Community Health and Equity. The successful candidate will:
Provide medical consultative services in the areas of health promotion, maternal and child health, and chronic disease;
Establish, monitor, and promote standards for professional services, especially medical and healthcare-system-related services for populations across the lifespan;
Administer various statewide public health programs in partnership with the Associate Director’s Office, Center Chiefs, and Program staff;
Provide medical consultative services to other areas in the Department, as needed; and
Develop State Plans and new initiatives in the areas of emerging health issues.
