Island Realty’s clients will now enjoy the benefit of expanded capabilities and tools with no interruption to the personalized attention they’ve come to expect.”

“In a move that underscores a shared commitment to personalized service and to the Jamestown community, Island Realty has joined Residential Properties Ltd. This partnership allows Island Realty to maintain its office location at 4 E Ferry Wharf while providing RPL the opportunity to expand its territory and foster more community connections,” said the companies in the announcement.

"The collaboration brings together Island Realty’s deep roots and local presence in Jamestown and Residential Properties’ extensive resources, market expertise, and innovative approach. Both brokerages have built their reputations on a client-first philosophy that prioritizes trust, transparency, and results," said Residential Properties.

Carol Clendenning Hopkins, Broker Owner of Island Realty
Island Reality Team

Born and raised in Jamestown, Carol Clendenning Hopkins, Broker Owner of Island Realty, is entrenched in the community and involved within many local organizations. With 38 years in real estate to her credit, she purchased the company with Virginia Prichett in 2000 and then became sole owner in 2014. Carol offers unparalleled market insight and a deep understanding of the unique needs of local buyers and sellers. In addition, Island Realty’s legacy of community involvement will not only continue but thrive under the umbrella of Residential Properties.

Along with Hopkins, RPL will welcome 10 agents to its roster: Sales Associate Megan Andreozzi Fox, Sales Associate Jim Bryer, Sales Associate Dianne Grippi, Sales Associate Nathaniel Hopkins, Sales Associate Jami Krause, Sales Associate Jeremy Krause, Sales Associate Petra Laurie, Sales Associate Morgan McKay, Sales Associate Linda Mello, and Broker Associate Robin Tregenza.

“This is fantastic news for our agents and clients,” Hopkins noted. “I have been approached by franchise real estate brokerages in the past but chose to become part of Residential Properties because of our shared values and dedication to independent, local, personalized customer attention. We are here to stay and will provide the same level of service that clients experienced with Island Realty, but now with more resources and greater reach.”

Hopkins has a profound influence on her community. In addition to Friends of Jamestown Housing and the Jamestown Parent Teacher Organization, she is involved in numerous local organizations that help maintain a robust artistic, educational, and social fabric to the community, including Jamestown Arts Center, Jamestown Baseball, Conanicut Island Sailing Foundation, VHBC Pride, Jamestown Soccer, Jamestown Community Chorus, and Jamestown Community Theatre.

“My love of the island is what drives me,” Hopkins said. “My grandparents, then my parents, owned the Harbor View Nursing Home here in Jamestown. I grew up in an environment where people cared for each other and after leaving the island for a couple of years came back because I realized how special and rare it is to have a true community. Now as part of Residential Properties Ltd., I’m excited for an even brighter future ahead.”
