Riccotti’s in Johnston, which was located at 1465 Atwood Avenue, let its customers know it is “closed for business.”
The shop featured hot and cold sub sandwiches as well as salads.

The plaza was purchased by a local developer…car dealer…whatever you want to call it. Anyway, yeah, so we’re closed permanently. The plaza here, and all six businesses, have all been evicted.
We’ve been here 50 years…thank you for your support all these years. Hopefully I can turn this around and find a new location somewhere…hope to see you again soon.
There are other Riccotti's sandwich shops across the state, including in West Warwick, North Providence, and Bristol that are not impacted by the Johnston closure.
