RI-Based SquadLocker Partners With SportsEngine Inc, Expects to Add Jobs

Rhode Island based SquadLocker has teamed up with SportsEngine Inc., an NBC Sports Group Company, for a long term partnership to provide custom team apparel stores to SportsEngine clients, including over 600,000 local youth sports teams. 

As a result of the partnership, SquadLocker expects to add up to 50 jobs this year. 

“SquadLocker is planning on adding dozens of new employees this year, in addition to the expansion and growth which has already occurred,” said Todd Grant, president of SquadLocker.

Thousands of sports organizations have teamed with SportsEngine to run their websites, tournaments, leagues, online registration and mobile apps. In total more than 600,000 sports teams, clubs and leagues are able to reduce the time spent on administration and communication and focus on the athletes. 

“Every team and league in the SportsEngine platform will be offered a gear store with one click. The integration of SquadLocker’s StoreBuilder platform with SportsEngine’s sports management solutions will expose millions of athletes, parents, coaches and administrators to the easiest-to-use and most accessible online gear store solution in the industry,” said Grant.
