The Rhode Island Black Business Association (RIBBA) has announced the winners for its eighth annual Awards Gala.

The award winners are being recognized for the achievements of exceptional leadership and success in their field, as well as, leadership, business growth, and service to the community.

"I congratulate the award recipients. We received dozens of nominations this year. These individuals and companies, we considered the best in their league and are worthy of this recognition,” said Lisa Ranglin, President of the Rhode Island Black Business Association.

The Gala will take place on Friday, October 11 at 6 p.m. at the Omni Providence Hotel.

The Gala

The theme for this year's Gala is "Embrace the Past, Empower the Future.”

This year's keynote address will be delivered by, Donna Bunch Coaxum, Esq.,CPA, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of OSI Group, LLC.

In her role, she directs all aspects of the legal and compliance functions supporting this nearly $7 Billion global consumer products food manufacturer comprised of 50+ entities, 50+ manufacturing facilities, and 19,000+ employees in 17 countries spanning four continents.

All proceeds from the Gala will benefit the Scholarship Fund.
