RI Business Owner Hansen Joins Board of Keeping Jobs in Rhode Island

Paul Hansen joins Keeping Jobs in RI board
The chairman and CEO of Rhode Island-based Millennium Consulting, Inc., Paul Hansen has joined the board of Keeping Jobs in Rhode Island.

As GoLocalProv reported, Keeping Jobs in Rhode Island launched last week with the goal of ensuring IGT stays in the state.

“Rhode Island can’t afford to lose another major employer. It’s a fair proposal, it deserves a full and public hearing, and our leaders should do everything they can to keep a company like IGT here in Rhode Island. I’m proud to join other business and civic leaders as a board member of Keeping Jobs in Rhode Island, Inc. and to stand up for sound economic development policies and partnerships that strengthen Rhode Island’s economy,” said Hansen.

About Hansen

Hansen founded Millennium Consulting, an IT and finance staffing firm, in 1996.

IGT serves as one of Millennium’s largest and longest-running clients.

“GTECH and IGT contribute so much to our local economy. Our decades-long relationship with GTECH and IGT has helped our company create jobs that would not otherwise exist in Rhode Island. The proposal to keep IGT in Rhode Island is a good, fair proposal that gives local business owners like myself peace of mind that our longstanding business relationships with a homegrown, global company will continue for years to come,” said Hansen.

As GoLocalProv reported,  an economic impact study released yesterday by Edi Tebaldi, an economics professor at Bryant University, IGT’s presence in Rhode Island creates 1,345 non-IGT jobs across the state and pumps $330 million into the state’s economy.
