RI Commerce Corporation Announces New Leadership

Commerce Secretary Stefan Pryor announced new leadership at Rhode Island Commerce Corporation on Thursday, February 19. 

The new staff will work closely with the Secretary of Commerce to strengthen the state's economic development efforts and support the Governor's priority of creating opportunity for Rhode Islanders. 

“Today we are strengthening Rhode Island’s economic development team in order to enable the implementation of the Governor’s ambitious economic agenda,” said Pryor.

The new staff members include Darin Early who worked for eleven years at Jones Lang Lasalle, Inc., which is one of the nation's leading commercial real estate firms. Early holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University. 

The second member of the new staff is Daniel Jennings who worked as the Senior Vice President at the Brick City Development Corporation for four years. Jennings holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from New York University. 

In addition to the new hires, Marcel Valois will remain at the Commerce Corporation as the Senior Economic Development Advisor.
