The winners of each class will compete at the American Trucking Associations' National Truck Driving Championships August 14-17 in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Competition

The event took place at the NETTTS Pawtucket campus and pitted 29 professional drivers from ten companies competing in six truck classes: Step-Van, Straight Truck, 3-Axle Tractor Trailer, 4-Axle T/T 5-Axle T/T, and Twin Trailers.

Drivers compiled points in three areas - written test; pre-inspection administered by the Rhode Island State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit; and driving skills - which contributed to a combined score.
