'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Breaks the All-Time US Box Office Record
The seventh installment in the 'Star Wars' franchise topped the previous record of $760.5 million set by James Cameron's 'Avatar' in 2009. Whereas it took 'Avatar' more than eight months to collect $749.8 million in its initial run, 'The Force Awakens" grossed $764.4 million in just 20 days.
