Thundermist Health Center CEO Steps Down

After 14 years of service, Maria Montanaro has stepped down as Thundermist Health Center’s CEO. Former CIO Charles T. Jones has been named interim CEO.

“[Maria] created a remarkable legacy which will continue to benefit our patients and communities for many years to come. As I assume the reigns as Interim CEO, I am humbled by her dedication and knowledge of the health care field, but at the same time excited by the challenges and opportunities we have before us,” said Jones.

Jones will take over the CEO position after spending three years as CIO. He was an officer in the navy for five years before working in the information technology industry focusing on supporting health care organizations.

Thundermist will conduct the search for a permanent CEO of the next several months.
