“Warren is a really interesting town — it’s kind of been experiencing a renaissance over the last several of years, mostly due to the restaurant scene. Everybody flocks to Warren for the restaurants. And Hope & Main…I think they have been a driving force behind that,” said Hollenbeck of the restaurant incubator, located in an old school building, that helps businesses start and get off the ground.

All the side streets off of Water Street are really beautiful, if you take the time to drive through them,” she said “There are so many historic homes there, many of them are being renovated in keeping with the historic character. It reminds me a lot of Stonington, Connecticut — it has that same coastal sea-captain village kind of feel.”
Barrington Still Hot
At the time of the interview, Hollenbeck said there were only 28 houses for sale in Barrington — a “very small number,” she acknowledged.
“We have a lot of people who move laterally in the East Bay, which means it’s someone who lives in town and they’re moving to a different house — mostly family who are still having kids in school and moving to a bigger house or another part of time,” she said.
“We’re also experiencing people coming in from Boston or the Boston suburbs, because the prices in Rhode Island and Barrington are still quite reasonable compared to Massachusetts," Hollenbeck added.
