Chris Tarro Announces Departure From Siena Restaurants

He has been a fixture in one of Rhode Island’s most beloved restaurants that features locations in Providence, East Greenwich, and Smithfield. The Providence location on Federal Hill has not reopened since the pandemic.
Tarro posted, “After over 15 years, I am no longer with Siena. It was a difficult decision to leave a job I have truly loved. I will always be very proud of what we accomplished at Siena. Starting a company that was able to deliver an experience customers enjoyed while providing for so many employees was all I could ask.”

Thank you to all the amazing employees I have worked with over the years. Many have become like family. I have been blessed. Working with you all will always be the greatest highlight & most fulfilling part of my work career. I will always be beyond grateful for your effort, dedication and support! To be truthful, I am not articulate enough to communicate my feelings for you all at this time. I hope you know how much I cared. At times, I know I was too much but my actions were always well intentioned. Please forgive me for my short comings,” said Tarro.
“Thank you to all the remarkable customers that have supported Siena and allowed me to share in so many of your memories. You have become my extended family. At times, I felt like I knew you and your family better then my own. Your support allowed me to provide for my family. I couldn't have imagined how lucky I would be when it started,” said Tarro.
The pandemic has taken its toll on the restaurant industry across the state and the country — more than 100 restaurants in RI alone have closed.
Next Chapter
Tarro did not disclose his future plans, but wrote, “I am excited to write the next chapter in my life. I plan to give my family all the attention that they deserve. My personal sacrifice over the years has been worth it but now it is their turn! I am determined to become a better man, dad, husband and friend. Tejal, Christopher and Nick deserve it. The few years left before college will be cherished and fulfilling!
Once again, thank you so much for supporting me and being by my side during this amazing journey.”
