Don't Miss: Providence's Renaissance Wine Festival August 28

The festival kicks off at 2pm with an hour-long VIP reception featuring exclusive premium wines open to only limited amount of VIP ticket holders. The VIP reception will also feature passed and stationary hors d'oeuvres from restaurants including The Iron Works Tavern, Blush Wine Bar, Trattoria Roma, and Amici Bar & Grille.
Hundreds of wines
The main festival will be open from 3-6pm, and hundreds of wines from some of the most prestigious wineries across the globe will be sampled throughout the day. Some of the featured selections include the La Mozza Winery founded by Chef Mario Batali, Maison Louis Latour, Zaccagnini of Italy, Aviva Vino of Spain, Ca’Montini, David Bruce, Toad Hollow and much more. In addition to the fine wine and entertainment, guests will have an opportunity to bid on silent auction packages to benefit Junior Achievement of Rhode Island, shop for bangles from Alex and Ani, purchase various wine-inspired items and view art work from Galleries of Federal Hill.

New this year: a cooking demonstration area, sponsored by Rhode Island Kitchen & Bath. Chefs joining the Renaissance Wine Festival on the demonstration stage are: Executive Chef Gianfranco Campanella of Amici Bar & Grille of Providence, Executive Chef Kevin Millonzi of Millonzi Fine Catering of West Warwick, Executive Chef Kevin Scott of Shrine Asian Kitchen & Lounge at MGM Foxwoods and Executive Chef Domenic Ierfino of Trattoria Roma of Providence. Chef Demonstrations will feature 20 minute how-to sessions on specialties of each restaurant and recipe instructions for each guest. Times for each chef's demo will featured at BellaEventsRI.com.
As part of the Renaissance Wine Festival, guests will have the pleasure of enjoying live musical entertainment by Kirk Feather Trio and the Mary Andrews Trio.
