Drift Opens on Providence's Waterfront

Drift opens this Sunday along Providence's waterfront -- overlooking India Point Park at the Hilton Hotel.

"Drift, our seafood-focused restaurant striving to utilize local, seasonal and sustainable offerings is set to finally make its debut in our city of culinary sin," said one of the founders Ed Brady.

The grand opening kicks off at 1 pm December 11.

"At the helm, our kitchen has two heads; Chef Antonio Wormley of Milk Money who has quickly been making a name for himself throughout Providence and beyond and the ever-talented veteran Chef Andrea Leonardo of The Thirsty Beaver Hometown Pub and Grub (both JWU graduates) are ready to put their stamp on this collective venture."

The bar program, headed by Ryan Draine (also of Milk Money), will run a parallel course to that of the kitchen and showcase seasonality. "One of the more popular concoctions at the moment consists of a house-smoked ginger simple syrup, lemon, angostura bitters, egg white, anejo rum and cynar; a variation of a traditional sour meant to evoke a number of senses," said Brady.
