Chef and restaurateur Armando Bisceglia is making his next move.

As GoLocal was first to report on May 31, Bisceglia announced that Bacco on Federal Hill would be closing on June 9.

However, as GoLocal also reported, that was not the end of the story for seasoned industry professional Bisceglia, who currently counts Scotti’s Salumeria among the restaurants he is at currently.

Previously, he was the top chef at Zooma on the Hill.

Now, Bisceglia is opening a new concept.

Next Move

Bisceglia is launching “Dolce & Salato” along with “The Armando Experience” on Douglas Avenue in Providence, where the Brooklyn Tea House used to be.

“Join Chef Armando and his classic southern Italian dishes as he takes you on a journey of his family, of his kitchen and his beloved Napoli,” says Bisceglia on his Facebook page

For Bisceglia, who bounced back COVID — and fighting for his life in the ICU — the new space marks his latest chapter.

“It’s going to be a split location, with Dolce & Salato in the morning for breakfast and lunch. We’ll have things like croissants and sandwiches. Then Thursday through Sundays, it will be the ‘Armando Experience’ at night,” said Bisceglia.

And in a nod to his current position in East Greenwich, Bisceglia will bring his “experience” to Scotti’s.

“Tuesday nights will be the ‘Armando Experience’ at Scott’s starting around July 15,” said Bisceglia. “If anyone has gift cards from previous locations, we’ll be happy to invite them.”
