James Beard Award-Winner Mackinnon-Patterson to Host Exclusive Dinner at Sarto

James Beard award-winning chef Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson of Frasca Food and Wine is set to take over Sarto Restaurant for an exclusive dinner featuring Scarpetta Wines.

“Our chef takeover series is aimed to bring outside culinary talent from throughout the country to Rhode Island and allow locals to experience world-class restaurants right here in Providence. I’m extremely excited that the first chef takeover at Sarto is with Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, where I previously worked. On a personal level, there is this strong, emotional connection that I can now share with my Rhode Island family and friends that couldn’t make it out to Colorado during my tenure at Frasca. This evening will take our guests and transport them to the Friuli region of Italy for a culinary experience par excellence,” said Sarto chef/partner Robert Andreozzi.

The dinner will take place on Monday, March 11.

The Dinner

The evening’s menu consists of such dishes as Friulano Piatto, a Frasca salumi plate, paired with Scarpetta “Timido” Brut Rose, and a Bone-In Aged Pork Loin with cotechino and "brovada” paired with Scarpetta Barbera

Offered is a six-course dinner for $75 per person, and an exclusive wine flight option for $35 (excludes tax and gratuity). Complimentary valet parking is available.

Frasca Food and Wines

Frasca Food and Wine is the creation of Mackinnon-Patterson and master sommelier Bobby Stuckey.

Historically found throughout Friuli, Frascas are friendly and informal gathering places, a destination for farmers, friends, and families to share a meal and a bottle of wine.
