Local Sweets for Your Sweetheart

It's not a classic for nothing. Yes, she wants chocolate (and he might as well), and here are the sweetest local sources for romancing your Valentine.

Garrison's Legendary Lovers

For the ninth year in a row, Garrison Confections presents its annual Legendary Lovers Collection. This collection will only be available through February 14th, St. Valentine's Day. Not only are the confections out of this world, but each year nationally recognized chocolatier Andrew Shotts names the bites after legendary lovers in art, history, and literature. Keep the peace when you bite into John & Yoko: Home-made pistachio marzipan enrobed in dark chocolate. Or ponder holding her in the palm of your hand when offering her Kong & Ann: Milk chocolate ganache steeped in fresh ground coffee and enrobed in milk chocolate. Garrison Confections Factory Store, 72 Ledge St, Central Falls, 725-0790, is open from 11am-6pm Fri 2/11-Sat 2/12, and on Valentine’s Day. The Legendary Lovers collection and pink raspberry macarons will be sold along with their full line of confections.
