You’ve probably built your own burger before, but the stakes just got higher... and the pay-off as well.

Luxe Burger Bar has announced a Build Your Own Burger contest that culiminates in $500 worth of food, plus a whole lot of burger-related celebrity. 

Here's the deal: create the most outrageously delicious burger you can utilizing Luxe's available ingredients, plus one secret ingredient they don't offer. Fill out an entry form and itemize your dream burger on the restaurant's Build Your Own Burger pad, and you're entered.

How to win

The contest will run from August 1 through September 4. At that point, the top six contestants will have their burgers featured on the Luxe menu for the remainder of the month of September.  The top six will then be invited to the final showdown on Saturday, October 1st, when the best burgers will be prepared for a panel of culinary experts.

The expert opinion plus the sales results will determine the winner, who will take home $500 in Chow Fun Bucks (which can be used Luxe, Harry's Bar & Burger, Ten Steak & Sushi, Rick's Roadhouse, and XO Cafe), have their burger featured on the Luxe menu for one year, and appear on an upcoming episode of TV Maître d’ with Joe Zito.
