Raising Cane’s — the fried chicken chain which recently opened in Johnston — is now welcoming customers to its new store over the border. 

As GoLocal reported, the long lines in Rhode Island prompted local restaurants to make appeals to customers to support small businesses. 

Raising Cane's was founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; it now boasts over 700 locations in the United States and worldwide.

On Monday, the chain made the announcement that the Seekonk, Massachusetts location opens on Tuesday. 

The new location is at 175 Highland Avenue off of Route 6.
