A popular East Side cafe and tea house is opening a new, second location.

Ceremony, which is located on Brook Street in Providence, will soon also be on South Main Street in the Brown Public Health building, next to the restaurant Hemenway’s.

There are currently signs in the window at the new storefront announcing the business is hiring.

Ceremony posted the latest development on its Instagram page, sharing more about its history — and future:

"We started off as an e-commerce website, selling premium loose leaf teas sourced from generational small family farms. We work with farmers from China, Taiwan and Japan, focused on importing a selective amount of premium teas each season," wrote Ceremony.

"Late 2019 we opened our own brick & mortar, providing our tea enthusiasts with a place to drink & enjoy traditional tea ceremonies, while also serving a small selection of coffee drinks using a custom blend from our coffee partner [New Harvest Coffee]," they continued. "With the support of our local community & guests, we successfully expanded our store both in size & offerings, where we now host traditional tea ceremony tasting experience in our private tea room...while other guests are able to enjoy an extensive menu featuring traditional espresso drinks, to signature crafted items featuring Asian flavors such as: black sesame, goguma, dalgona, adzuki etc. as well as premium sake, wine and handcrafted cocktails."

"As we get ready to open our second location on South Main St, we can't wait to introduce a new series of items ft more products I grew up eating: onigiri, yubuchobap, fruit sandos featuring omakase strawberries from [Oishii Berry]," wrote Ceremony.
