The Guild, the craft beer staple based in Pawtucket and one of the nation’s largest craft breweries, is expanding into the capital city – and helping people #TakeItOutside – with The Guild PVD, a weekend-only, pop-up beer garden in downtown Providence.

Launching this weekend, the pop-up beer garden will occupy 4,200 square feet in the Providence Innovation District Park, just steps away from the new pedestrian bridge, and will be open Friday-Sunday, with limited hours and capacity, through Sunday, November 1.

Hours at The Guild PVD will be Friday, 3 – 6 p.m.; Saturday, 1 – 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 12 – 5 p.m.

Capacity will be limited to 74 people on a first-come-first-served basis.

On tap this weekend: A wide selection of craft beers from The Guild brewing partners Peak Brewing Company, Monopolio and Willie’s SuperBrew.

The Guild is also partnering with Smoke & Squeal BBQ and Ocean State Food Truck Festivals to provide guests with a wide range of meal options.

About Partnership

The Guild PVD is a public-private partnership between The Guild, Rhode Island Commerce and the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission.

“We’re very proud of the genuine community atmosphere we’ve been able to build in Pawtucket – and we couldn’t be more excited to bring that same model to this exciting new space,” said Jeremy Duffy, co-founder, The Guild. “We thank the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission and Rhode Island Commerce for their partnership in this endeavor, and we’re looking forward to spending the next few weekends in downtown Providence with craft beer lovers from all across the state."

In line with the State of Rhode Island’s ongoing #TakeItOutside campaign to curb the spread of COVID-19, guests at The Guild PVD can expect a safe, socially distant, entirely outdoor space to enjoy craft beers, all of which are brewed at The Guild’s facility on Main Street in Pawtucket.

“The launch of The Guild PVD is great news for multiple reasons,” said Rhode Island Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor. “It’s a new, outdoor space at which Rhode Islanders can Take it Outside and safely enjoy time with their friends. It’s also a great example of our business community’s creativity during these difficult times and yet another success story in our fast-emerging Providence Innovation & Design District.”
