NEW: 57 Care New England Docs Named Best Doctors in America 2013

Fifty-seven physicians in the Care New England Health System (CNE) – including Butler Hospital, Kent Hospital, and Women & Infants Hospital – have made the Best Doctors in America list for 2013, placing them among the top five percent of doctors in the country.

Best Doctors in America

Best Doctors’ objective is to identify the best trained, most experienced and most skilled specialists in the U.S., regardless of where they practice. Best Doctors commissions an exhaustive, annual peer-review survey of the medical profession.  They contact more than 45,000 doctors who were identified in previous surveys as “the best” in their specialties and ask them, “If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?”

Each year, doctors from across CNE have been represented in Best Doctors in America. “The 2013 Best Doctors in America list recognizes CNE doctors as experts in the majority of medical specialties,” said Dennis Keefe, president and CEO of Care New England. “As a system, our goal is to provide the population we serve with the highest quality care in all the services we offer.”
