RI Health Recommends Closure of Kent County YMCA Lower & Upper Ponds in Warwick

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is recommending the closure of Kent County YMCA Lower and Upper Ponds in Warwick for swimming due to high bacteria levels.

According to RIDOH, they “will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout the summer. The status of a beach may change on a daily basis.”

Beach Closures

As GoLocalProv reported, RIDOH recommended the closure of Sandy Point Beach lat month due to high bacteria levels.

They recommended the closure of Third Beach back in May for the same reason.
