Roger Williams Med Center Names New Director of Infection Control

The Roger Williams Medical Center has named Dr. Richa Tandon the facility’s new Director of Infection Control. Prior to joining Roger Williams, Dr. Tandon trained in Infectious Diseases at Boston University Medical Center, where she was a faculty member for six years.

She has extensive clinical experience in general Infectious Diseases and managing complicated immunosuppressed patients. She cared for a large panel of HIV/AIDS patients at BUMC and specialized in managing HIV infected women to prevent perinatal transmission.

Dr. Tandon plans on pursuing her interest of working with immunosuppressed patients by collaborating with the transplant team at Roger Williams. She has extensive clinical research experience and will work with residents and fellows on various projects.
