Warwick Ice Cream has released a new flavor titled “Every Child, Every Day” to benefits Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

“This is an exciting day, not only for our hospital, but for all Rhode Islanders who love ice cream – it’s absolutely delicious. But best of all is what this flavor represents. We are so thankful to Warwick Ice Cream and the Bucci family for their generosity and incredible commitment to the children of our state,” said Margaret M. Van Bree, MHA, DrPH, president of Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

The ice cream is set to hit retail freezers on May 25.

“This is so much more than ice cream for us – this is a way for us to use our platform to give back to our community and to our local kids. As a family business, this is the most important thing to us and an enormous part of our family’s values,” said Thomas Bucci of Warwick Ice Cream.

With the sale of each pint, Warwick Ice Cream is donating $1 to the hospital’s Every Child, Every Day initiative.

The Ice Cream

“Every Child, Every Day,” is an all-natural chocolate ice cream with Anchor Toffee crunch and a ‘care’amel swirl.

The idea to create the new ice cream was born in late 2018 when the hospital invited Warwick Ice Cream to learn about its now-current campaign.

Instead of a direct financial contribution, the Bucci family wanted to do something that would make a bigger impact.

After spending the winter months developing and tweaking recipes, the company and Hasbro Children’s enlisted feedback from hospital members of The Adolescent Leadership Council (TALC); a group of young adults with chronic illnesses who help mentor and provide support to children with illnesses.
