“On Sunday, March 13th a sick child became physically ill inside the restaurant. Customers in the child’s immediate area have come forward to report similar symptoms. We are working diligently with the RI Department of Health to pinpoint the cause of the resulting sickness. While reports have not come back yet, early indications are that the reported illness is the result of the norovirus, which is highly contagious and easily spread through aerosol transmission. This appears to be an isolated incident and we have been allowed to stay open while health officials work to determine the cause.

We serve more than 500,000 customers annually and in the 44 years of owning and operating Wright’s Farm Restaurant, we have and continue to be in full compliance with the RI Department of Health. We take the report of any illness very seriously and we are currently undertaking additional proactive steps including professionally cleaning the entire establishment to ensure customer safety. There is nothing we take more seriously than the health and wellbeing of our loyal guests.”
