We've got the whole world in our hands this weekend for Earth Day.
We've got some of the very best and most beautiful land and water on Mother Earth, right here in Rhode Island. Show it some love this weekend.

Keeping the Valley beautiful

April 21-22  Get your green on with Blackstone Valley in the annual Great American Cleanup to help make Rhode Island beautiful. The program includes beautifying parks, planting flowers and trees, conducting educational programs, and much more! Earth Day activities will take place in Burrillville and Smithfield. 15th Annual Earth Day Clean Up Weekend Celebration

April 21-22  Rain or shine come show your appreciation for the planet with an Earth Day clean up river and stream water pollution and litter. Earn a certificate for your work and set an example to others of how to care for the earth. April 22, 12:30 – 4pm. April 21, 2012 9 am—noon. No Time to Waste

April 22  Join the Providence Children's Museum in celebrating the three R’s of protecting the Earth: reducing, reusing and recycling in a special interactive comedy called “No Time to Waste.” Children are encouraged to get involved in the play by acting out natural resources and trash, or as part of the audience, make decisions on how to reduce trash and recycle. EPA's Earth Day Festival

April 21  Join the EPA this weekend for an Earth Festival celebrating working together to go green. Explore interactive displays, workshops, and exhibits from environmental groups as well as a marine touch tank, tours of new state-of-the-art green building modifications, and children’s crafts. 11 am – 3 pm. Smithfield Clean-Up

April 21  Get together to make Smithfield beautiful! Pick up litter and trash with friends, family, and the Smithfield Conservation Commission. Zoo Clean-up

April 21  Get outside and show your love for Providence by picking up litter, and clearing the beautiful pond system in honor of Roger Williams’ 4th Annual Clean-up. Team up with 15 volunteers lead by OSEEC AmeriCorps members to scope the park and make it beautiful for everyone. Roger Williams Park, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Providence. Street Tree Planting

April 21  Make your world a little greener by planting trees with friends, neighbors, and family along the streets of Providence. Pair/team up and work together to plant over 50 trees. Historical Cleaning

April 21  Join the Rhode Island Historical Society to go green old style. Clean-up like it’s 1799 with a special Earth Day cleaning event at the John Brown House Museum. Experience what is was like to clean like you favorite maids in Downton Abbey, proper garb and all.
