Newport Folk weekend is finally here. This year, the Festival welcomes dozens of top acts including Patti Smith, Ray LaMontagne, Norah Jones and Elvis Costello. Music begins at 11AM at Ft. Adams State Park starting today with over 50 artists scheduled. Wear some sunscreen, be patient in traffic and respect thy neighbor. Creating exceptional glass for 13 years, Michael Richardson, Justin Tarducci, and Timothy Underwood continue to honor and expand the art of glassblowing and give back to the Newport community.
Return to Camelot - The Kennedy Wedding Remembered
Along with its mansions and America's Cup yachting history, Newport is known as the resort city where Jaqueline Bouvier married then Senator John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Spring St. in Newport.
