Alabama at Dunkin' Donuts Center
It's been 50 years since Randy, Jeff and Teddy, left the cotton farms of Fort Payne, Alabama, to spend the summer playing music in a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina bar called The Bowery.
It is a classic American tale of rags to riches. From humble beginnings picking cotton in the fields to international stars that went on to sell 80 million albums while changing the face and sound of country music.
The concert begins at 7 p.m.

The Book of Mormon at PPAC
The Book of Mormon features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone.
Parker and Stone are the four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of the landmark animated series, “South Park.” Tony Award-winner Lopez is co-creator of the long-running hit musical comedy, Avenue Q.
The musical is choreographed by Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw (Monty Python’s Spamalot, The Drowsy Chaperone) and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

5th Annual Women Authors Luncheon at Brown Faculty Club
The Junior League of Rhode Island welcomes the community to join them for their Annual Women Authors Luncheon.
Guests will enjoy a sumptuous buffet luncheon including Broiled Salmon, Chicken Marsala, Caesar Salad, Spring Pasta Primavera, Quiche, Fresh Fruit, Gourmet French Pastries, and Coffee/Tea.
The event goes from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School hosts April in Paris with Poulenc: Judith Lynn Stillman and Friends from the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra featuring Trinity Repertory Company's Curt Columbus.

21st Annual Pawcatuck River Duck Race in Westerly
20,000 rubber ducks are dumped into the Pawcatuck River on the Westerly, Rhode Island and Pawcatuck, Connecticut border for a race that benefits 40+ local charities.
Children's games, rides, food booths, and other activities make this a wonderful family event.
The event goes from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

URI Symphony Orchestra- Spring Concert at URI Fine Arts Center
Under the Direction of Conductor Ann Danis, the college-community URI Symphony Orchestra presents its final concert of the 2018-2019 Academic Year.
Including Slavonic Dance Opus 46, No. 8 in G minor by Antonin Dvorak and "Soar": Concerto No. 1 for Marimba and Strings by Robert Oetomo featuring Senior Percussionist Remy Besson, the program culminates with the beloved Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major "Eroica" by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The show begins at 8 p.m.

Providence Book Festival at Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel
The Providence Book Festival celebrates the transformative power of books to inspire minds and nurture the spirit.
Providence will be lit up with dynamic and diverse literary forums and conversations with up to 75 favorite authors including Mike Stanton and Anne Hood.

RI Music Hall of Fame Ceremony at Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame Museum
The Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame is a nonprofit dedicated to celebrating, honoring, and preserving the legacy of Rhode Island musicians, educators, and industry professionals who have made significant contributions to the national and Rhode Island music scene.
The Hall will carry out its mission through the annual election of inductees, creation of a museum of artist- and music-related exhibits honoring inductees and commemorating the state’s musical legacy, and an online music archive of information about, and audio recordings by, those involved in Rhode Island’s past and present music scene.
