Riverdance - The 20th Anniversary World Tour at PPAC

Riverdance is bringing its 20th Anniversary World Tour to the Providence Performing Arts Center this weekend. 

Drawing on Irish traditions, the combined talents of the performers propel Irish dancing and music into the present day, capturing the imagination of audiences across all ages and cultures in an innovative and exciting blend of dance, music, and song.

This weekend is the only weekend of the show.

Dave Keller at Courthouse Center for the Arts

Soul and blues artist Dave Keller will make his Courthouse Center for the Arts debut on Friday night.

PVDFest 2017

PVDFest is back and while it started on Thursday, June 1, Saturday, June 3 is the day to be there. 

Throughout the weekend, PVDFest will feature over 800 artists, 15 stages, 30 food vendors, 11 local art organizations and much more.

Bike Fest RI 

It is national bike month and there is no better way to celebrate than to attend Bike Fest. 

The festival will take place in the Matthewson Street Parking lot in Providence from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

The festival will feature live entertainment, BMX Stunt Riders; an expo area of bicycles and related gear, information and resources about riding in the state, safety and repair demonstrations, food vendors and more.

Kite Flying Day at Watson Farm

Bring a kite to Watson Farm and enjoy a day of family fun. Watch a professional kite flyer fly three kites at the same time. The Red Pennys at Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co.

Calling old country music loving fans! Join the Sons of Liberty team as they host a night of live country music featuring Rhode Island’s very own, The Red Pennys.

SEE A SAMPLE OF THEIR MUSIC BELOW

The Red Pennys will be in the distillery’s tasting room beginning at 6 p.m. They will play a combination of old country music along with a series of roadhouse rhythms. 
 
Sons of Liberty’s well-known whiskeys, draft beers, and craft cocktails will be on hand all night long.

Special Olympics State Summer Games 

The state summer games for Special Olympics RI returns this weekend at the University of Rhode Island. 

The games are expected to bring in more than 5,000 athletes, coaches, volunteers, family members and spectators over the course the event. 

The event will consist of seven different competitions that will take place on June 2, June 3 and June 4.

Lippitt House Museum's The Art of Dining Exhibit

The Lippitt House Museum has opened a new exhibit that highlights Victorian food. 

The exhibit, The Art of Dining: A Taste of Providence’s Golden Age, opened on May 5 and explores the social customs of the Victorian era dining etiquette. 

The exhibit will also explore how food and drink were integrated into Victorian life.
