25th Anniversary Columbus Day Festival on Federal Hill Kicks Off Oct. 8

The 25th Anniversary Columbus Day Festival on Federal HIll will take place from Saturday, October 8 to Monday, October 10, with the parade scheduled for Sunday, October 9 at 11 a.m. 

Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements will serve as the honorary Grand Marshall during the annual Columbus Day parade during the annual Columbus Day Festival on Federal Hill.  

The parade will also feature 11 marching bands, including the Navy band from Newport and the 88 band from the RI National Guard.

Warwick North Little League will join the parade as well. 

Other than the parade, the festival will feature four entertainment stages each day, as well as food and retail vendors, the parade, games and amusement park rides and much more. 

Festival Hours are as Follows: 

  • Saturday, October 8 - 10 am. to 11 p.m. 
  • Sunday, October 9 - 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Monday, October 10  - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

 

Buddy Cianci Foundation
Former Mayor Buddy Cianci to be Honored 

This years opening reception will take place on Saturday, October 8 at noon time in Depasquale Plaza. During the reception, the Federal Hill Commerce Association will honor Olivia Cianci, grand daughter of former Mayor Buddy Cianci, with the new Cianci Civic Award.
