Wet at The Met Friday

Synth-pop band Wet comes to The Met Friday. The NYC based trio of Kelly Zutrau, Joe Valle, and Marty Sulkow released their first album Don't You in 2016. Tonight's show is a homecoming of sorts for lead singer Zutrau who recently attended RISD. Tickets are $22 for the all ages show. Dougie Poole and Blonder open at 9PM.

Atlantic Thrills Saturday

Providence based rockers Atlantic Thills will bring a garage rock attitude to the Garage Fest at the News Café Saturday night in Pawtucket. Check out their latest album Vices to see what we mean. They’ll be joined by fellow travelers Mad Doctors from New York City, Andy California from Boston, and local rockers The Worried. Nothing to fear though – show is at 8PM – tickets $5 at the door.

Spuyten Duyvil Saturday

Spuyten Duyvil is a New York collective that plays traditional music in a distinctly non-traditional way. Led by songwriting couple Mark Miller and Beth Kaufman, the band is known to really tear it up at live shows. They recently released their 3rd CD, The Social Music Hour Vol 1, a collection of folk and blues tunes that has been described as sounding “like throwing a cherry bomb into a lake ... It wakes you up.” See what that means Saturday night at Cumberland’s Blackstone River Theatre. Details here.

Ham Jam Sunday

The “Ham Jam” is an annual show celebrating food and music … specifically those who make the food and play the music. Several bands that include restaurant staff from around Providence will be at The Met Sunday including Turn for The Wurst (Kitchen Band), The DBC's, Mark Taber & Son, The Little Compton Band and DJ K-Luv. Music starts early at 5PM – Details here.

Buck Curran Monday

Buck Curran is a highly-regarded singer-songwriter formerly of the Maine alt-folk duo Arborea. Curran moved to Italy and has been touring solo since releasing his new album Immortal Light last summer. Monday night, he’s playing a free show at AS220 in Providence. Locals Alec K. Redfearn and Allysen Callery open around 8:30. Details here.
