27th Annual Apple Festival, Johnston

Saturday-Sunday  Nothing kicks off Fall quite like the Annual Apple Festival - crisp air, apple this and that, arts & crafts and commercial vendors, pony rides, wonderful food, fabulous entertainment and more. 7th Annual North Smithfield Great Pumpkin Festival

Saturday  Great pre-autumn family fun event for everyone! Live music and entertainment, games and contests, pumpkin pie contest, food, children's events, and more!  10 a.m.–4 p.m. Free. Save The Bay Beach Slam in Warwick

Sunday  The third annual Beach Slam event is Save The Bay's way of extending summer and raising runs at the same time. Activities will include live entertainment, kayak and stand up paddleboard (SUP) demonstrations, a Zumba demonstration, gondola rides, a rock-climbing wall, kids’ games, arts and crafts, and a bounce house. There will be several raffle items available with proceeds going towards Save The Bay’s mission of protecting, restoring, and educating about Narragansett Bay. Goddard Memorial State Park, 1095 Ives Road, Warwick, RI, 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Free admission; nominal fee for 5K, rock wall, bounce house. www.savebay.org.

Slater Park Fall Festival in Pawtucket

Saturday-Sunday Family fun event for all ages! Visit Daggett Farm, ride the Looff Carousel, visit the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and tour the historic Daggett House. An open air market features food, craft, exhibitions and performances.  Festival closes on Sunday with a performance by The Cowsills at 3:30 p.m., followed at 5:30 p.m. by the stirring music of the Rhode Island Philharmonic in a stunning pops performance. The percussion continues with a blaze of fireworks as a grand finale to celebrate the arts in Pawtucket. 11 a.m.-5 p.m.. Free. Slater Park, Armistice Blvd., Pawtucket, RI.
